It all began on a charming cobblestone street in New York’s West Village. When Magnolia Bakery first opened its doors in 1996, the scent of freshly baked cakes, pies, cookies, and pudding spilled out onto the sidewalk—and quickly became a neighborhood obsession.
Before long, our Red Velvet Cupcakes turned into icons, and our Banana Pudding drew lines around the block. What started as a local favorite soon became a destination for visitors from around the world.
Today, we’ve brought our treats to neighborhoods near and far, sharing a taste of that original West Village magic. And while we’ve grown, some things haven’t changed: we still open early and close late, we believe a dollop of buttercream makes everything better, and we still wake up every day with one simple goal—to make today sweeter than yesterday.
